When creating sponsored posts on TikTok, you must ensure that you are staying compliant with TikTok's branded content guidelines. Campaign codes are provided by the marketer to add to your post. This not only ensures that you are compliant, but also provides access to real-time metrics on your content.
Important note: TikTok campaign codes, must be accessed from the TikTok app on your mobile device.
Adding a Campaign Code to a Published Post
If you have already published your post to TikTok, you will need to add your campaign code to your post.
- To do this, from the TikTok app, navigate to your published post.
- From here, select the three horizontal dots menu icon in the lower right-hand corner of your post and then Ad setting.
- On the Content disclosure and ads screen toggle on the Disclose post content and then select the Branded content option.
- Once both of those options are on select, Link Campaign.
- If you have already participated in a campaign or participating in a campaign you will see two options; Link Campaign or Add Campaign code.
- Select your deliverable and then Add Campaign Code. Enter in the code provided by the marketer and select, Add.
- Once added, navigate back to the Content disclosure and ads screen and select, Save.
